Alpha Tauri AT01

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

That nose seems narrow, like the RB16 from that angle

Basically a rebranded, simplified RB15. Marko just confirmed. Should help them get in the top 5...
Are you sure? Judging from gasly's earlier experience with the RB15 I don't know if that's a good thing.

Perhaps a noob question, but what is stopping them from simply sharing the RB16 documents of the allowed parts Dropbox style? Saves money for RB and speeds up (literally) AT considerably. Maybe they can even then use AT as a roadblock around the pit windows against Mercedes/Ferrari when they get behind them because the AT is the considerably faster and thus in their pit window

The rear of the car now has more resemblance to the RB15, for example the rear supension, engine cover and it even has the RB15 initial wastegate setup.

Really looking forward to how this car performs. All things seem to be pointing towards a competitive car. I hope Kvyat and Gasly find the driveability agreeable and are able to exploit the relationship with RBR.

Livery reminds me of Williams in 2000.

Nice camera angle...F1 should use this!

Reminds me of Adelaide GP 1994...they had the exact same camera angle on Schumacher's car!

In the close up of the nose, is that a hole covered with tape of some sort ?
