Are there close to 0 photographers at the track or why are there barely any pictures of the cars yet?

It's (late) afternoon on a thursday afterall, usually there were tons and tons of pictures already....

I get the distinct feeling the tension in the Ferrari pits is going to be very high this year!

I dont think so i think Vettel as a Multi world Champion will simply go out and push to the max with no worries at all about what anyone says and i think his race engineers will set up the car each race day to the best of their abilities. If Ferrari intentionally do not give him their fullest support then its their loss. I think Vettel is going to go out and put on a clinic if he can on proper racing. I mean he can now race the entire season with no pressure.

I fear that Vettel will be in the role of Kimi. They will give him an unprofitable tire strategy, or they will keep him on the track without a pit stop for an extra 4-5 laps, until he starts to lose 2-3-4 seconds per lap.

I hope that does not happen.

I think the 'Jar' term is an Australian thing.
British, I think.

https://www.oxfordinternationalenglish. ... ish-slang/

Anyway, all very OT
I think the use of Jar came in in the 60's or 70's when there was a spate of new 'foreign' beers introduced as most were not a pint or half to round off a 'pint'. I think 'pills' or 'Orangibooms' were the two worst culparates, in my area anyway.

I think last season except for Russian GP, the strategies were pretty fair. And I would argue Sebastian had better race pace than Charles so that would play a big part on the strategy.

Now i want to ask my Welsh Rugby Coach the difference between a 'pint' and 'jar' and what he knows about 'pills' & 'orangibooms'....

Should learn a thing or two... and ill ask in my best Irish/Scottish/Indian accent.

That's kind of what i was thinking as well.
  • Most likely gets sent out for qualifying in whatever order helps Lec.
  • Always gets the less beneficial tasks for practice.
  • Always get the lesser of the two strategy options unless Lec is miles behind or has an accident or technical issue before the first stop.
And I say tension, because Ferrari will look bad, and have egg on their face if Vet clearly beats Lec. If that looks like it might happen, I expect random strategy and pistop mistakes to start happening.
