Yes, no warning just two exploding tyres.

Crazy.

Let's not forget, without that 3 place grid penalty Lando could very well be sitting in 3rd right now. Changes the outlook.

Bothers me what a difference that stupid steward penalty would have made had they not penalized Norris.

Pace wasn't so bad. Several cars were within an inch of each-other. But apparently these cars suck at keeping up through S2. The long straight is useless because you drop back massively before you arrive at it. Aston got the strategy on point with Vettel today. Maybe McLaren should have tried to go late as well, but hey, they didn't have the power of hindsight when they made the decision.
When you have a car outside top ten you could take a small risk. What would you lose? Today also showed us that maybe we are not that fast in tracks like baku as we thought. Or maybe we didn't choose the right setup? We surely had more expectations.

Standing start right? Opportunities all around. Worried about Carlos behind.

If they start behind safety car, there's no point in racing then

I'm happy our race pace here is better, im more optimistic than worried.

When Sainz had a small exit and he entered the track using reverse, was it safe? I remember get passed him. I didn't saw a replay.

Even if it is a standing start, is theformation lap counted also?

I think the restart is great either way, just a massive sprint to the end, carnage and drama aplenty.

Race pace was fine. Not on the level of RB / Hamilton, but certainly on par with Ferrari / AlphaTauri / Aston.

The starting position made all the difference in the end.

Shame.

There was someone that passed him very close by. It was kind of dangerous.

Yes, formation lap to grid counts. Would be a 2 lap shootout.

Yep, we could be ahead of leclerc, but we still can. Let's hope Norris gets another fine start.

I'd still prefer standing over rolling.
