Cheers, should be really interesting. I'm the Major Incident, Problem and Service Level manager for a SaaS company so I'm very interested to hear his PoV.

Anyone else following the spat between Gordon Murray and Steve Nichols over credit for the design of the MP4/4? Apparently Murray is claiming sole credit, while Nichols disagrees completely with this. From the latest reports, the McLaren staff from that era side with Nichols. Matthew Jeffreys says Murray is living in a parallel universe! I find it fascinating that such a dispute could ever arise, maybe Ron should settle it?
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

I presume Lando will need to take a engine penalty at some point, so what’s our thoughts?, do they wait for a uncompetitive track?, take it all the way to Brazil or Mexico for easier overtaking? Or just take it this race, so Lando has a nice fresh engine for the remaining races

The circuit in Austin is a great place to change the engine, it is easy to overtake here. Lando also said that they can be strong in Mexico. I think this will happen in the next two races.

Steve Nichols played a huge part in the MP4/4...

I agree, reports from Maranello suggest Ferrari are very optimistic about Mexico due to the smaller turbo and track layout factors, We need to combat that.

How is that working? It seems to be a circuit that favors the Mercedes Engine.

McLaren were looking better than Ferrari in FP1. If lando hadn't locked up he would have been 3rd ahead of Max.

Emag what about FP2 and FP3? Do you see a positive result considering we are using low revs in Practise 1,2 and 3?

Yeah, he was hooked from the start. COTA is one of Lando favorite tracks and McLaren was strong there in 2019.

The standard steady Friday from us- we know more time is in the pocket but I think we’ll do well to get Row 3 with Merc, RBR and Ferrari better suited potentially.

Lando promising.

Did I miss something?

DR recorded a better S1 and much better S2 than Lando's best on his deleted lap. It would've been on the board as a 1:36.2 which is about a tenth ahead of Leclerc(Sainz would've also hit a 1:36.3 but had to lift at turn 19 during his fastest lap because of yellow flags).

Anyway, I think they'll all be within about a tenth tomorrow.
