Either way, the second seat @ Alfa will by no means be announced untill AFTER the Italian GP.
Giovanazzi, an ITALIAN, at his HOME GP, for essentially an 'Italian team' Alfa Romeo is NO WAY to get such bad treatment BEFORE the GP.
So i'd expect the news regarding the second Alfa seat - if indeed De Vries, as claimed to have signed by multiple sources - to be announced Monday, not any moment before.
Pretty sure it's down between De Vries and Schumacher.
There's also some rumours that Zhou is under consideration. Second in the standings so far (but yeah, 3th year - edit: de vries was champion in 3th year, my bad)...but more importantly, brings big bucks (30 M$, allegedly)

The Albon situation is going to be fascinating. Has he kept his RedBull connection or not?
It is understood that Albon will remain part of the Red Bull family next year despite Toto Wolff’s comments last week saying he would have to be released if he were to race for a Mercedes customer team.
“We rate Alex very highly and with our line-up for 2022 fixed, our objective was to help find him a seat in another team where he could gain more F1 mileage and experience and we are delighted to have done that with Williams Racing,” said Red Bull F1 boss Christian Horner.
“Alex has been a hugely valuable asset in his role as our test and reserve driver this year, helping bring performance from the simulator to the car each weekend, but for his career it was important not to spend another season out of an F1 race seat.
“With his place on the grid next year secured, we are delighted to see him realise this opportunity and we will be following his progress closely.”

Looks like it, yes. He does wear a Alpha Tauri shirt on the presentation. I assume he is gonna rep the Alpha Tauri brand during his time in Williams.
Hmm. So he can report back any info on the Mercedes parts and PU. Interesting.
Before anyone says it I know he won’t be technically qualified to make serious reporting but any feedback could be valuable in what is a new set of regs.

The same for Bottas with the Ferrari PU. He also stays connected to The Mercedes family.
The teams are putting drivers at different constructors everywhere. But does it really matter since all the engines will be frozen? Or can they still get more performance with updates upcoming seasons?
Ocon drives for Alpine despite being managed by Mercedes , Bottas driving for Alfa next year , De Vries linked to the other seat as well. No reason to make a big deal of Albon being contracted to Red Bull. Happens all the time

He will have access to a lot more information than RBR would ever be able to get otherwise. Especially regarding the engine. So effectively they'll know a lot about the Mercedes engine while Mercedes will be blind as to what's going on with the RB engine. Albon still being on the RBR payroll long term does make it a different situation to the above, and I'm sure that's why they've secured him the drive there.
As mentioned, I wonder if there's going to be a change in who is supplying engines to which team now. Alfa to Mercedes and Williams to RB/Honda.
