I see it as a record breaker. It will instantly enter the Monaco/Montmelo category of tracks, processional race with no overtakings at all wich allows the race leader to be around 8 seconds per lap slower than possible because none will even try to overtake

Racing in this kind of tracks is simply pointless
That's what was said about the last new street circuit, Baku....
Yet for some reason narrow tracks, like Zandvoort get a free pass because of rose-tinted glasses. I think F1 fans have a disdain for new street tracks.
About Baku? Not sure who said that, but it was not me, period. Baku is completely different, it´s wide, with lots of different corners and some long straights, so there are lots of overtaking posibilities. This is just the opposite. Even Monaco will provide more overtaking opportunities than Jeddah #-o

Jeddah has very very long flat out sections, I fail see how you won’t see at least DRS overtakes. It’s easy to underestimate the scale of this track.

Exactlty. The straights are quite long. With packed stands on the side it will be a spectacle.

If they manage to finish that in time I’ll eat a whole pizza with pineapple.

Don't think they will be able to finish all of it.

If they are still laying tarmac, could this be another Turkey 2020 slip-n-slide funride?

It might be different because the sand will help draw out the oils. They may also pressure wash the entire track like they did in Turkey as well.

Most of the circuit is roads though isn’t it. Unless they are re-surfacing those as well.

They have a month to finish, it'll get done. I'm surprised no one is talking about Losail, it's a nice circuit to drive in an F1 car.
