Are RedBull hiding a problem?

Bottas again is choking with his tyre warmups!
Well that comment hasn't aged well...

Yes, please NO MORE BULLSH1T.

This time-contortionism to minimize the belief that Merc has the faster car is just done to try and separate Hamilton's success from being all about a dominant car.

It is seriously obvious with Merc holding 50% of all pole positions since 2014..

kinda interesting how that goes.

where are the people that told everyone that mercedes will struggling to be in the top 3 or 4? lol

Maybe they learn now that they souldnt overestimate the tests and do not forget about the skills of mercedes fixing stuff really hard. But im sure they will never learn that.

Great session that. We were all guessing right to the end. Fun to have the wind and the tyre options as a wild card.

I think Verstappen is feeling the pressure of fighting for the title a little bit. He’s not been getting the best out of that car.

Congrats to BOT, v good quali .

I don’t believe it’s clear cut for RUS in ‘22 in the other merc seat IMO

Rare faster Q2 than Q3
Same as last year. Weird track. Verstappen's deleted lap was enough for pole position, but then again hamilton's Q2 lap was 3 tenths up on that.
Valteri has pole, but you know in the back of his head he’s thinking how much time Hamilton has over him with that Q2 run.

The wind situation seems to be like Bahrain (minus the dust), but Mercedes seems to he dealing with it better than RB this time. Tires.. we’ll have to see for the race how that plays out. Mercedes blocking out the front row gives them advantage in terms of keeping RB behind on the first lap drag race to T1.

Probably more they are more incremental than Mercedes upgrades, who had more to gain from pre season testing to now. I still think Bahrain is an outlier with blowing sand, ridiculous temps, etc. these European circuits are more the norm, than not.

It's going to be a Mercedes walk in the park tomorrow going by their strength on the medium tyre. I'm not expecting any fight from redbull unless they pulls some crazy strategy after a safety car or something.

Perez only a tenth and a half off Max, finally a good qualifier in that 2nd RB seat. If he can just calm down in the race he will finish well. Man tomorrow's race looks like it will be a good one at the front and also in midfield, a good spread of teams and drivers in there. Hopefully, we won't get whatever last year's race was, with only 4 drivers finishing on the lead lap.

Did anyone look at Danny Ric’s Q1 lap? Did he make a mistake somewhere?

Happy for Carlos too. He just needs to match or beat Charles. That’s the race for him.

the story for bottas hasn't changed for 5th year running. he geta a few poles and ends up way behind on points. nothing new there. russell finished 11th on the grid, juat half tenth for q1 in that Williams!!! that says everything.
That is all that’s required of him though.

The team is functioning just fine. Despite all the driver changes, the pairing is probably still the best in the sport.

Exactly as long as Bottas is up there with Lewis that's all that matters to Mercedes and today he got pole which is even better for Bottas keeping his seat next year =D>

Just so that everyone knows: the time by Max that got deleted was a 1:18.209 which would have comfortably put him on pole despite the mistake and time loss in corner 4 ... so i really dunno where the "Merc is clearly the faster car" stuff comes from, maybe it is on the medium but not on the soft.

He had a lockup but it looked like he was losing some time everywhere because that mistake wasn't worth the entire second.
