2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix - Yas Marina, Dec 10 - 12

For ease of use, there is one thread per grand prix where you can discuss everything during that specific GP weekend. You can find these threads here.

Post

Come on people- this is not news and is being polarised to the detriment of the thread, and forum!

Let's step away from the fanboi words and deeds - the new cars are almost here! Normality will return with the joys of Spring (up here in the frozen north anyways)

Keep the discourse civil please - deleting posts is tedious work when the briefest of pauses to reflect before you pressed 'POST' would allow for a more sensible wording or phrasing to be used..

Nah, this has always been my position - I just didn't bother expressing it for the last months because the forum was under-moderated and overrun by idealogues trapped in argument spirals.
I think that one wins the interweb today 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Amateurs….

The last forum that I spent this much time in had a thread that ran for 700+ pages through a single off-season; arguing about how to measure 3cm (due to a very slim rule-book and an assumption that common sense played a part in interpretation).

I made up jigs and measured stuff… 🤦‍♂️

Acknowledging it was wrong doesn't make Verstappen any less of a Champion.
Have a look through any major social media outlet, and you will see Many max fans aggressively attacking anyone suggesting Massi's actions were anything but kosher. My assumption, is that they can't handle the idea that Max only won the championship because of outside intervention.
You mean just like Hammy fans that can’t handle the fact their boy can only win in cars that are obscenely faster than the rest of the field?

Get over yourself Dan. Seriously.
If it hadn't been for external intervention Lewis would have won this season with a car thats many have claimed wasn't the fastest.....

scroll threw this very forum, and you will see posts from many different users, claiming the w12 isn't as good as the RB16B. All season long you had people proclaiming Lewis could only win with a car that was substantially faster than the rest of the field. As far as I'm concerned this season proves that to be unequivocally false!

A bunch of people on a public forum forum is hardly proof.
A bit like asking people which is best, dogs or cats?

unless you have access to detailed models, schematics, and technical data of all the car and PUs, it's all just opinion. Doesn't matter if you are a forum member, Scarabs, a paddock regular, or a technical member of a team, it's all just opinion!

Adrian Newey for one. He said the Red Bull was the best car for most of the season.

So Adrian Newey = most people?

When did Newey said that and where can I find that? I googled but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

This was taken from an interview with Sky after AD. I remember seeing it live, myself.
