Red Bull RB18 Speculation Thread

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Gulp! The team really did use up all of their resources fighting for the win in 2021!! :wtf: so much so that Newy said F-it! Just use the dman template!

What a SHAME. Formula 1 car launches have been sacred for me since I was 6, and now we have this farse endorsed by FOM.
What does FOM have to do with it? They only made demo cars and sold them to teams. It's teams that happily jumped at the possibility. It's teams that put screens during tests etc.

So what was the point of this launch?
To please Oracle?

I'm surprised Red Bull were willing to replace their brand name with Oracle along the sides of the car. So it must be a decent deal. :)

Pointless event imo since we all knew the livery was going to be the same.

So they can't even call it a livery launch.
I doubt Oracle feel that way!

It's amusing to find Scarborough annoyed. Strange they didn't announce it as a livery launch if it was intended to be a livery launch? But oh well. It's all rather amusing really! :)

They did so for Infinity during the Vettel era, plus they have the rear wing "back".

I hope they reconsider the length of the yellow "beak" when it's time for the real thing.

Ok. U're launching your 0.5B agreement. A official launch is needed. For the rest, a well done render.

RedBull also has brand recognition in colors. It doesn’t even need to say RedBull anymore.

Mid grid teams with less to lose/hide might show something.

No one asked for a finished car. What is a finished car anyway - mustn't it be the version at the final race it enters?
Remember they called the event RB18 launch. And the car has nothing to do with RB18. So unless the actual car is called RB19 or something, they have lied to us.
