I miss Carlos man.
He lost out to Lando on quali battles as well, but never lost as severely as Daniel is doing right now. And at least Carlos had the race pace to back it up.

We secretly had one of the best lineups in the grid and we didn't know it :/

Great lap from Lando there, despite wrestling the car through S3. Bravo!

Wish we had Carlos back too, or Alonso or something.

Lando is really impressive, that lap was not even clean.

I have a feeling that Lando lost a tenth or two there at S3. He could have been 1 or 2 tenths closer.

P5 by Lando. Amazing lap considering the complications in S3. Can't help but think whether they might have been a chance to be slightly better with a cleaner last two corners.

But when you have Daniel P14 is difficult to complain with Lando's performance. Just great stuff by him.

He could have put it in P3 if not for those couple of turns in S3… He was driving the tires of the car… Impressive!

He matched the Ferrari’s in S2 and faster than even both Res Bulls and based on previous runs, he left a couple of tenths in S3… There should be enough race pace to manage from P5 tomorrow

With Lando-Carlos duo we had a very similar qualy and race pace. Very strong drivers. Now, we have a top driver and an embarrasing driver.

It was fantastic by the team to send Lando before the mass.

Perez might drop some places if he damaged gearbox (SAI also hit with rear, but the impact was not that strong), tomorrow could be interesting.

The thing is that Mclaren always or almost always had two drivers close to each other (1 or 2 tenths close). The last time having one driver being 1 second faster than the second driver was back at 1988 when Senna was almost 2 seconds faster than Prost in Monaco but that didn't matter as the car was by far the fastest in the grid.

Looking at it again now, those last two corners could have definitely cost him about 2 tenths combined. F*king hell, he could have probably put it P2 (at least momentarily). Lando really is a beast.

Lando was fueled for two lap flying laps... so there was definitely more to come... unfortunate but cant complain

Things you wouldn't have imagined when Daniel left RB in 2018.
