That's fair. T4 incident was ocon's fault though. Should have also got 5 seconds based on other incidents this year. But I just wonder what both drivers threw away today. Car looked quite handy. Alonso was faster and had he overtaken ocon cleanly on the straight I wonder what his pace would have been relative to the mclaren

They might as well put new pus in both cars.

I don't quite recall another penalty, for a collision that one of the drivers didn't even knew about it. They told him after the race that this had happened.

Amazing..

That's what happens when you constantly as a team, have the faster Alpine running behind the slower Alpine most of the time. As a team you know which number Alpine is faster in a weekend. Maybe is Ocon, Maybe is Alonso but as a team you know what race pace they have. Yea at some races they are close, but at some races they are not. If you don't take action to put the faster Alpine in front of the Slower Alpine, then it's your fault. Not drivers Fault. And that should go both ways. If Ocon is faster, leave him in front, np with that. I am not speaking about today in particular, i am speaking about other races mostly.

Yeah, the 24 seconds plus the time he lost for pitting and wing change wasn't enough?

Disagree, if Alonso puts a new PU in, he'll start behind Ocon.

But if he doesn't, he might not finish the race

I thought that T4 was on Alonso, it was a killer move on the brakes by Ocon into T4, he would likely have been invisible to Alonso until the exit (due to the other car in between).

It's far worse than that. Peanut brittle reliability as well.

What happened to Ocon in sprint? He just went backwards- was this due to damage?

Hole in sidepod. 50 points of downforce gone according to Alpine. He will start with an older engine today.

Alpine are very quick this weekend: Look at the sprint. Well clear of Mclaren. Alonso was on the pace of Perez and Leclerc!!

The fact that they didn't score points yesterday while food poisoning Norris finished 7th is simply embarrassing  .

Why is he starting with the older engine? Was the sprint engine damaged?
