Anyone know if KMag is there for the rest of the year?

Yes he definitely is, and AFAIK I think it's more than a one year deal.

He has a multi year deal, I think MS needs a mentor

It shows also that having good drivers like MAG and GRO in the past can totally change your results.

Yes, the car is better. But you always need to have decent drivers

The car is seriously quick. Continuation fron 2018? Good to see them fighting at the front of the midfield again. =D>

Great to see Haas get some points. Seeing Kevin scoring those points, and schumacher being much slower shows how bad Mazepin really is. I really start to think Mick is not good enough for f1
I have always thought the hype about Mick is only because who he is son of.
Look at his F2 championship, it wasn't really impressive, 0 poles, only 2 race wins, only 2 fastest lap, and he won with the smallest margin of any F2 champion.
If this had been an unknown racer, he wouldn't have any attention.

Has he brought good sponsorship?

I know it is not going to be in the same park as <censored> but relitive

As a Michael Schumacher fan, i would love to see him perform and it hurts he probably isnt just good enough. He crushed Mazepin last year but i think that shows how bad Mazepin really was.

Also last year he did spin in Bahrein and in Spa. Real amateur mistakes if you ask me.

But getting outperformed by a Magnussen who missed almost all preparation and didnt drive F1 for a year got me thinking. In Qualy he was only 2 tenths off, but against a old and less prepared f1 driver. And lets be honest, Magnussen is a mediocre driver.

Maybe he got some damage after the touch at the start. But if its like this after 3 races i think hell have to consider a DTM carreer

Magnussen is mediocre because he is like a Kamikaze, but he is fast as hell

One could argue that Mag has more recent experience with tunnel cars, and spring/ damper suspension than anyone on the grid.

F1 2022 is way different than 2021. Kevin may be the surprise point scorer in the first 6 or so races.

2022 cars are very similar to Indycars actually, so maybe Magnussen could use that in his favour.

For sure it confrims that Mick is a slow adapter. He will never be elite but he might be good to steal a championship is a winning car.

If his job is to attract sponsorship, and he is attracting sponsorship, then as long as his repair bills are not too high then Haas can afford to give him time, even if he only ever becomes a middling driver.

If his job is to go out and storm the field, I don't think he is ever going to do that, and if he did, he would be moving on before Haas got any benefit from it.

I agree with your points but was he ever hyped, though?

I never saw anyone say he is a great talent. Only saw people belittling him, arguing the same things you did there

I expect him to be much slower on Jeddah too(half a second to 1s slower), despite KMag not fully knowing the track.
