I don't agree with banning drivers because they are Russian.

The use of Russian licences is the ban - not a personal one. so If Nikita can get himself another racing licence..then he can surely compete.

The actions are against Russia.

With Silverstone? if so then I don't have a problem with that. But I thought that title implied he will personally be banned.

Russian licences not being accepted by the UK motorsport body. It is a blunt instrument and I can see it being replicated across Europe too - so for Mr Mazepin, I suspect he'll have a shorter season that would be his preference.

I think Mazepin hasn't really convinced the whole team he should stay so if, as seems likely, the Uralkali money is gone (but who knows, perhaps Haas made sure to get a large amount of it in advance, they must surely have learned from the Rich Energy debacle, right?), I cannot see Mazepin have much of a chance. Though perhaps him not being allowed to race everywhere even gives the team an out where he can have some races, but they bring in someone esle. Kvyat would be grea,t but bit of the same issue with licenses I'd say. Piastri on loan from Alpine? Would love it, but Haas need money

But I think the announcements are currently clear:
- Uralkali is out as they can not pay and Haas is not allowed to take their money.
- Masepin will be out of the seat without sponsor.
- Possible replacements are Fittipaldi, Gio and Piastri.
- Backing of Gio may be realistic, Renault paying a seat in the Nr.2 Ferrari team...unrealistic.
- There are rumors that Fittipaldi is driving in the test next week. Who is paying for him, who was paying his seat two years ago?

After that 2018 Spa WEC accident, would be quite the comeback to have him get a full season drive in F1!
