McLaren MCL36

Confirmation that the second set of parts will be ready for Suzuka, and only Norris will receive it at Singapore. Makes sense to me.

Will be a good way to compare data of the two packages over a entire weekend..

I know… Lando’s in the back in the garage… So, it’s kind of there :)

Got a bit excited!

That upper leading edge shape of the sidepod cooling entrance. Definitely some undercut there but far from as much as Alpine/RB. More like the undercut of the f1-75

I've been waiting all year for that to happen. My CFD eyes didn't approve that concept.

Can really see how small the undercut is. New floor fences are pretty different from old set, but clear evolution there.

Didn't see before but they have a new mirror mount too. Similar to outwashing devices on other cars eg RB

Re: McLaren MCL36

Minor upgrade package to match some smaller components (rear brake winglets, floor/tyre wash winglets/beam wing profile) to the new sidepods/internals/front floor coming, that may be Japan but more likely US, depending upon the diffuser they end up running.

Looks like a bit of oscillation at the moment seems the sweet spot is narrower so they're going to try to dial that out on the setup first before back to backing the diffusers.

Some great shots of flow vis on the new McLaren updates. The shot of the floor especially interesting
