Tire wear and Temperatures

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

Tire wear and Temperatures

Post

Hi guys, i'm involved in the Sim (game), F1 99-02 by EA, and i have been trying to locate more exact data on both Bridgestone and Michelin tires.

The game is about the best available at the moment for an F1 simulation, and i am in the process of making some updated tires from the ones in the game.

So my questions are, what is the correct optimum temperature for both Hard and Soft compounds and also the approx life span of the tires.

According to Bridgestone and Michelin the operating temp of the tires are 100*C, is this correct?

Thanks in advance

Regards Mika
