I don't like these sorts of tracks. Feels like a carpark. I rather a pure street track like Baku than these quasi street tracks we get nowadays.
A true street track in downtown Miami/Brickell/South Beach would be near impossible to get past city ordinances these days. The logistics would be near impossible as well.

I think the Hard Rock facility is a good compromise but then again, I actually like the new tracks like this and Jeddah. I'm optimistic it will produce good racing as well.

Most Street tracks that came until Baku were useless for F1 racing. So in that sense a track like Baku, Jeddah and this Miami which is seemingly a fast circuit are welcome.

Baku, Singapore, Monaco are real city streets, so I get that vibe that a wheel could fly off and break someone's window. Then you have your Melbourne and Gilles Villenueve which are roads around a park... but not really "street." Miami, Jeddah, Abu dhabi feel like large car parks. Just me though.

Well Miami is literally all car park... At least we won't be back at Jeddah anymore.

All that's missing is Giovinazzi walking barefoot through the water with his hair loose.... :D
I can't figure out if the person who came up with this "marina" design had an exceptional sense of humor or total lack of common sense to try and pass this as something resembling Monaco :D

It’s a shame they did the stupid marina, when clearly it could have been better used as an additional general admission area, and the only thing people are talking about is the (correct) stupidity of it. The rest of the track looks pretty decent tbh. My guess is that we will not see a return of the “marina” next year lol.

Well, just consider it an extension of Disney World, but without having to deal with the mosquito issues due to standing water. They could have had a really shallow water pond but then they would need to run pumps and filtration. The water probably would still evaporate. If only they used something that actually resembled real water...

Concur.

Maybe if the event is a huge success the original waterfront proposal will re-appear again

I personally think it’s an ok idea to put a faux marina there.

I hear the arguement for general admission grandstand/area but if it’s totally empty or just a few people in there then that doesn’t look great on TV.
Also the more tickets they have available the more the risk of not selling out….every promoter loves the term ‘sold out event’

It’s the first GP here. Maybe the faux marina is what they put here on year 1 and then theme it differently each year, would be a nice quirk each year. Also those plywood sheets have a better paint job than some of the cars this year.

The track really needs palm trees everywhere, if you asked someone where it was and they didn't already know, they probably wouldn't be able to tell you.
