Max pole and win, I think. Everyone else squabbling over the rest.

Was just hoping for a clean race, without any SC/VSC influence, but given the way F1 has headed, and the weather anticipated, I’m fully expecting another mess of a race, whereby luck dictates the outcome.

Whatever happens, Verstappen being crowned is an inevitability

Inevitable? The guy is not flawless as last GP showed. Let's wait and see.

Agreed. It’s still no walk in the park for max. 8 points or more over Charles and 6 over Perez. If Charles comes P2 then max needs the win and the fastest lap.

Things can and certainly do go wrong even for teams and drivers that have been previously mostly flawless.

Still, the RB should be happy at Suzuka as it has been everywhere recently. The mix of different corner types should work well with their current easy-to-set-up car. Plus Honda will want a good result, so engine power could be impressive

Realistically, Max is only fighting Charles. Sergio won't be allowed to win even he were capable of beating Max in a one-on-one fight (which he isn't, of course).

Correct. Sergio will have to drop back to if he is running in second. Yes. A RedBull one-two will be sacrificed to ensure the WDC is won in Suzuka.

Max needs to be 6 points clear than Checo. Checo can finish 2nd perfectly fine.

1st - 25pts
2nd - 18pts

7 point difference

Bloody hell, "only" 64 points lead after that race in 2019...

I didn't expect 2022 season to be like this

All Max needs here to win the title is the win +FL if Charles is second. The perfect way for it to go down would be him leading with a pitstop gap, pits in the last few laps and takes the chequered flag and gets the fastest lap on the last lap

Updated weather - Looks a washout on Friday, clear and dry for Q on Saturday, and then wet again on Sunday for the race.
