AlphaTauri AT04

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

AT went full rb18 with their floor design. The stepped keel, the floor fence curvature

Seems like there is some attempt to play around with shape of tunnel roof as well

This photographer routinely gets some of the best images we have available (such as the photos of AMR/MCL diffusers/floor from the rear). Here's some more

Updated AT sidepods with aggressive downwash conditioning and an interesting sidepod "depression?"

Seems they have that recessed rear of the sidepod ramp like Mercedes recently developed.

Finally alpha tauri getting aggressive / pushing boundary with their aero package.

Think so. You can see the same super stepped keel feature on the shots of the car lifted on the crane

Image

Rb18 had this so alpha tauri likely incorporated it through view of the underfloor of that car..

Sidepod are pinched in more at the rear of the car. More undercut.

Some very clumsy repairs on the floor, the filler is not even smoothed down properly.
