Great stuff by Alonso and AM, not to mention Stroll too. I think they've set an example that provided the right knowledge, tools, funding and manpower teams have potential to improve drastically in this Budget Cap/Sliding Scale meta. At the very least, they've set a very admirable example.

Sidenote: when does Leclerc's contract come up? New TP, same ol' Ferrari issues...

Poor Shal, Ferrari is gonna break this guy apart. The problem is: there is nowhere else to go. Ferrari is the second fastest car, so no better option

Lap times are up for comparison.

Id probably say the AMR about 0.2 faster than the Merc. Merc about a second back on RB.

End of 24.
Supposedly they will discuss renewing it during this season. Wouldn't bet on it.

Does anyone know if the FIA monitor track limits on corner entry? Hamilton appeared to be right on the limit for lap 51 at turn 4 and turn 8 and it made me wonder.

I think Lawrence Stroll will keep an eye on him and Lecrec would do what Alonso did and sign contract behind Ferrari's back, Ferrari isn't the same Ferrari of old days, they keep on missing the target for some reason, and i doubt they will even come close to Redbull this year, only hope is Alonso and Aston to challenge Redbulls and Max to make the championship anything interesting, Max will mostly have this years championship in the bag in 12 races by my guess as i don't see any serious challenge from anyone as Redbulls definitely have a strong engineering team and nothing will stop them or topple then until 2026.

Nothing else of note really. Midfield towards the back very boring and no real interest. Abysmal from McLaren.
Yup, Mclaren is bringing their brand into shame. Also horrible race from Ocon

Also , Hulkenberg great quali, terrible race. Gasly terrible quali great race

Hulk got attention for track limits so they were monitoring, if Hamilton didn't get punishment is because was on the limits of the track

Don't be too negative about AMR. Lest not forget that Alonso was a bit out of place in Qualy already and had a terrible first lap.
I fully expect him to be the main contender for RB for the next couple of races - the rest depends on in-season-development which favours AMR heavily as well.
