Genuinely impressed Alpine got the car ready for Gasly. Well done to those mechanics!

Practice starts of the Ferrari’s seemed very good too. Sprint race win for Leclerc is in the cards. To me Mercedes was looking quick too. But the track evolution makes it very hard to judge.
Will the Ferrari be able to hold off a fast RB on the straights though with a monster tow
They did last year, looking at FP1 that will be no problem this year as well.

The show is terrible, but this is what the FIA want. Horrible City tracks and red flags galore. Don’t get it. It’s awful

One practice session is just not enough obviously. Especially on such street tracks.

yeah pretty sure drivers already said that it was a dumb idea and so did Horner, one of the rare cases where I wholly agree with him.

Totally agree. Combination of all things you mention and add on the car formula too and it's shocking.

I see now sky pundits are now doing features on how race control works.
Poor race control and the fia, so mis-understood... Don't worry everyone it's not that they are ever wrong or stupid, it's you, you are ignorant.

Yes it is ridiculous. We wait for red flags for most of the time and a few seconds of action before the next crash

didn't we have one practice session only for a couple of races in 2020 or so as well, when there was no Friday running at all?

Ridiculous how long this takes to retrieve one car. It’s painful. Tracks just aren’t fit for purpose. Already looking forward to these delays on Sunday….not.
Front wing got stuck under the TecPro barrier, that barrier isn't something that can be easily lifted
