- The AT is pretty good. Tsunoda P9 with a 10sec loss from a mistake. Ricciardo finished close to the pack despite starting 1 lap behind. Williams should be worried
AT will slow down and Williams will speed up at the next 2 circuits. AT is benefitting from the thin air GPs. Their car is quite draggy (although not as much as the Merc).
I agree with you, but I think they improved overall performance tho. And Ricciardo is pushing Tsunoda apparently, and himself is performing relatively well. Today they had avery high top speed. I think they'll be more or less the same at Vegas

Ricciardo came in right behind Tsunoda, btw, so would have scored points without this odd rule interpretation. Still no clue how he ended up a lap behind.
Because the team did a stupid thing. They stopped the car one lap too early, they should have waited for the red flag.
but that lap was mainly under red anyway, so why did it count? Ricciardo did like 50m of that lap, the others 1 sector, but no one came even close to complete it under green.
Green or red doesn’t matter. If the lap is counted then they wouldn’t have completed tge race distance compared to others.

Alonso and Max would be great to watch but why would Horner want it? I doubt team Verstappen would want it either.
Some would say Max never had a WDC teammate and he could prove himself as a real great of the sport by beating him in the same car... though I also believe it won't happen due to other reasons.
Everytime he has had a car capable of fighting for the WDC he has only gone and won it. Quite the impressive record

Alpine were top of the speedtrap in Quali and sprint quali. They had a lower DF setup than most. Don't have the clip though just thought I'd mention it was normal for the Alpines this weekend. Merc's slow topspeed emphasized it further

Yes I know they opted for a low DF setup
It's just interesting to see how fast these cars can go in straight line

Impressive. But let’s see if that’s still the case in 10 years time. I suspect not. Alonso, Hamilton, Schumacher, Vettel have all had one another in competitive rival cars, equal, or as teammates. Max has in 21’, and basically lost, until Masi intervened
Red Bull have tried multiple times to get the next best driver on the grid to race for them but he won't do it. I don't see any of Norris/Hamilton/Leclerc joining him at RB, the only way to beat him is with a faster car.

I kept waiting for the finish line camera to better see Alonso Vs Perez visually, but nothing? F1 broadcast directing is so amateurish, they miss so much juicy stuff...

Im surprised the sensor didnt pick it up for the stewards to look at really.
Hamilton has a special talent for flying under the radar when penalties are involved.

Masterclass from Fred. Incredible drive. Shame he has spent so many of his years in F1 in uncompetitive cars. He is amazing. Took Perez to school today and left him at the bus stop with no apologies or F’s given. It’s ridiculous Perez was even on the best driver of the day list. Fans are oblivious to greatness.

The TV production of the races is pathetic. They cover Perez coming out of the pits and then cut away as he is about to join in one of the most critical points of the race. Wtf. I’m now convinced they are purposely doing this so people will subscribe to F1’s TV subscription package because EVERY RACE they cut away from the main action to cover backmarkers passing backmarkers and needless, extended pit shots of cars being wheeled into the garage. They cut away to show replays right at the beginning of the race (after lap 3-4) and so passing during that time is never covered. It’s shameful what they are doing. Unacceptable. Disgusting, and it’s intentional. Can’t make such poor production choices every week without it being premeditated. Smh.
Watching F1 since 1986.

Has that ever been broadcast live at any rate?

They published this:

But that doesn't say anything. Possibly add fuel to the fire that something is going on. In the comments a screenshot from the distance, they look closer than a car length.

Did Daniel race this weekend? He was nowhere to be seen. Yuki did well again.
