After this race I am 99, 99 percent sure that I fully understand Lewis' decision to move to Ferrari, I will wait for the race in Saudi Arabia to be 100 percent sure of my thinking on Lewis' move to Ferrari.
Thats strange. Because the Mercedes and Ferrari's had reliability issues. And were fairly evenly matched.

If you think Mercedes front car finishing 10s behind Ferrari back car without front brakes is evenly matched then we have an exciting season ahead of us.

Probably depends how much you think they lost with the PU running hot.

Peter Windors view in his review was pretty solid though when asked which would be worse to drive with he said the brake issue. Can more easily drive within those limitations.

We probably won't know for sure for a few more races yet who is quicker/how close they are though.

Let us not delve into embarrassing comparisons. Tesla was well beyond his time, some of his most important inventions are still under lock. Newey, who has a fantastic engineering and innovative mind, was beaten by Rory Byrne for 5 years straight while he was in Ferrari. Byrne also beat him while he was at Benetton. Due to such massive beating, Newey wasn't given what he expected from McLaren and accepted RBs invite.

Rory Byrne was excellent engineer.

Newey dont make engines and that time not all teams use same tire brand ,that is huge difference.
From your logic Newey was beaten by Lowe and Alison from 2015 to 2020, everybody knows that Red bull has the best car all this years but has bad engine, Merc engine was universe from Renaulat. Newey is even considering leaving Red Bull because of this.
Bad engines are not Newey faults.
By the way Benneton 1994 was illegal car.
Read his book to find what really happened in Williams ,Mclaren etc.

Look today, 3 years thousands of very smart engineers cant solve problems with venturi cars , RB has no problem from first race.
RB was definitely not best car from 2015 to 2020. I would say, best car in 2018 (maybe 2016 and 2019), but definitely not 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2021.

Best aero, not fastest car.
Mercedes won all this championships because of brilliant engine, most powerful, best efficiency, best reliability.. when Honda finally make competitive engine red bull comes at top.

Interesting. Didn’t seem like it given your comment. Maybe you don’t know how it works?

Lol no.

It’s not the same to go from 500 to 135. It changes how much of the car you can update during the season as it’s impossible to rollout fundamental changes without having the people to design them or the money to make more than 1 type of car.

Edit: or even post season. With that money you can really only update a couple of big parts of the car before you run out. So to change concept takes 3-4 seasons instead of 1.
