I think you can only turn on the after burner after have the thrust at 100%....and usually the engine first tends to stabilize....before you can activate the after burner........but I'm not sure about this.

Data about Formula 3

Hello everyone :D
I have a question to whoever can help me.

I would like to get details of formula3 race cars. Details as follows:

What is their:
-top/average/cornering speed
-frontal area
-drag force (drag coefficient used)
-down force at different speed
-suspension movement
-weigth distribution between rear and from

If anyone could help me or enyone knows an official site with these details
please let me know.

Just a word on other jet powered vehicles! I saw FireForce jet powered dragster a couple of weeks ago at Santa Pod raceway here in the UK, it did two 1/4 mile runs from a standing start, reaching 280mph and 270mph in roughly 6 seconds. Not much use in a dogfight or on the corners though! :D
