Red Bull RB7 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter does not belong here.

The rear end is way smaller than RB6 right?

Look at where the rear wishbones are connected to the chassis/gearbox!

Looks like it tapers like the Sauber and Renault, keeping the vertical size to make a tighter rear horizontally.

Visually the car looks quite long which would help create more space at the rear, but we'll have to wait for the side by side shots to appear before we can tell one way or the other.

Can anyone see where the exhausts are?

Looks like they're trying to bring the centre of mass forward

Ok the exhausts are on the floor in roughly the same location as before. You can see the heat resistant panel in the floor.

so are we expecting the RB7 to absolutely dominate quali right away? I remember thinking how the RB6 looks similar to the RB5 and that other teams should have closed the gap a bit but that was far from the truth, it dominated... I have the feeling this will be the same.

Why does it have those black patches where the "Red Bull" logo is on the back end of the sidepods? The exhaust exits way below...

WOW, the RB7 looks stunning!!! =D>

If you have a look at this pic:

it looks like the exhaust plume is aimed around the outside of the rear wing thru channels above the diffuser.
