BMW Sauber secure about 2009 budget

The BMW Sauber F1 team is feeling safe and secure about its budget for the 2009 season, says team principal Mario Theissen. Despite the withdrawal of Swiss bank Credit Suisse as a major sponsor, the team is doing exceptionally fine and isn't worrying about its finances.

Mario Theissen told 'ITV-F1': "I have to say we are absolutely safe on the budget side for this year."

But he was also quick to point out that his team is interested in acquiring a few more sponsors, despite the increased difficulty compared to previous years.

"We are looking for new sponsors; we have two or three spaces available. It is definitely more difficult now to convince a potential sponsor that he needs to go into Formula 1 these days than it used to be one or two years ago."
