FIA presidency not for high ranking team personell - Dennis

As Max Mosley's FIA presidency term is about to end later this year, there is wide speculation as to who may replace him. Among the most talked about candidates is Ferrari's former team principal Jean Todt, but McLaren CEO Ron Dennis firmly believes that no high ranking Formula One team personell, current or past, should hold such a powerful position.

"I feel very strongly that no senior member of any Formula One team should ever go to hold a senior position within the FIA," Dennis said to 'F1 Racing' magazine.

"I think it would be impossible for me - even though I consider myself extremely disciplined - to be completely impartial regarding all the teams," he added. "I don't think it's possible for anyone who's led a successful team, frankly, and it would therefore be inappropriate for me."
