The Renault F1 Team is worried about the fitness of their star driver Fernando Alonso. The Spanish double World Champion is suffering from an ear infection and because of this, the team decided to limit Alonso's running today during the Friday free practice sessions.

Alonso, who already missed several meetings with the press and sponsor obligations on Thursday, said in an interview with the official Formula One site: "I am not feeling so well, and have a temperature of around 38 degrees Celsius. I have an infection in my ear. So for today we have tried to do a minimum number of laps, so that I would not lose too much water and could avoid sweating as much as possible. "
