Minardi to test A23 next week

Having bought several chassis and a bunch of spare parts from the disappeared Arrows team, Minari team boss Paul Stoddart confirms that both the PS03 and the A23 will be tested next week. The Arrows was originally designed by McLaren's Mike Coughlan. It is also very interesting for Minardi, knowing that the car is equipped with the same Cosworth engine as Minardi is now.

"We'll be doing the test on the 16th at Mugello, we will let Jos Verstappen drive both cars. I need some accurate driver reports on certain parts of the Arrows to see whether we are going to incorporate it in next year's car," Stoddart explained.

Stoddart also confirmed that this test should have been done several weeks ago but as they were ready to undergo the test as the one and only session allowable under the rules of the mid summer testing ban, Justin Wilson went to Jaguar and they had to use the allocated time to put new driver Nicolas Kiesa through his paces to secure the all important super licence.
