FIA/FOTA debate is about control - Ecclestone

FOM boss Bernie Ecclestone believes that root of all the problems between the FIA and FOTA are down to the need for more control. With the FIA in charge, it is obvious that the teams want more power for themselves, or so Ecclestone has said to German publication 'Auto Motor und Sport'.

"Flavio Briatore wants to create a new series and decide everything," Ecclestone said about one of FOTA's leading men.

Then he went on about the Ferrari and Toyota representatives, "Luca di Montezemolo has a problem with the FIA President. With John Howett, I wonder: what does he want? I'm not even sure he knows himself."
