Renault to face FIA Court of Appeal today

Today, the Renault F1 Team will face the FIA Court of Appeal in the French Capital city of Paris. The court will determine whether the race ban for the team, given by the race stewards at Hungary, is the right punishment for the French team.

A lot of people believe that the stewards gave the Renault F1 Team such a harsh penalty in the light of the death of Henry Surtees and the heavy accident of Felipe Massa in Hungary.

Many also believe that the FIA officials should have intervene like they did during the 2009 Australian Grand Prix when they told the Red Bull Racing team to call Sebastian Vettel over the radio to stop his car immediately. The Milton Keynes-based received a $50,000 fine for the incident.
