F1 Test, Jerez, Circuit Permanente de Jerezes

The BMW Sauber F1 Team today started its second test of the season in Spain. The venue is the circuit in Jerez, which is faster and more demanding than the Valencia track. However, today’s test was hampered by drizzle and rain after the first hour of running in the morning. 23-year-old Kamui Kobayashi (JP) was at the wheel of the BMW Sauber C29 Ferrari.

Giampaolo Dall’Ara (Head of Track Engineering) “Sadly the weather conditions were not as we would have liked. Because of this we had to skip some mechanical and aero testing. Most of the time Kamui was running on intermediates. We did some set-up work, system checks and start practice.”

What comes next:
Tomorrow Kamui will be driving again before Pedro de la Rosa takes over for Friday and Saturday.
