Barcelona might take Bahrain's place as end of pre-season testing

As the political storm has invaded Bahrain, F1 and FOTA alike are considering pulling out of that country completely by cancelling the last test session, and opening GP as well should matters worsen. But so far the most evident clue is that FOTA have checked the availability of the Catalan circuit during the dates for the Bahrain =http://www.f1technical.net/f1db/eventstest[/url].

"FOTA has asked us what dates we have available at the prospect of being unable to go to the last test, but there is no formal request yet," Vicenc Aguilera, president of the Circuit de Catalunya, shared with 'El Pais' newspaper.

"But if F1 asks us something, we will do our best to please," he added, in regards to the circuit already being partly booked around the planned dates of early March.
