Jérôme D'Ambrosio, the Belgian driver participating with Virgin Racing alongside Timo Glock is on the verge of losing his race seat. It is reported that his sponsors have failed to honour the business deal made between them and the Formula One team.

Belgian newspaper 'Le Soir' has learned that because of this, Eric Boullier will head to Belgium to sort the matter out. Boullier is head is Gravity, the firm that acts as manager for D'Ambrosio.

A reportedly enerved Eric Boullier said: "It is as principal of Gravity that I'm coming to Belgium, because this is not reasonable. What has been promised by the partners that support Jérôme is not honoured. They have already repeatedly replied with several explanations and excuses, but it is enough."

"As well with Virgin they start to get annoyed by the situation. The team told me clearly that they are thinking of replacing the Belgian if the situation does not change quickly."

Boullier added that Virgin Racing is still very happy with the job done by D'Ambrosio, but that they expect contractual agreements to be fulfilled. He said he will try to calm the situation down, but acknowledged that the situation cannot continue like this.
