Red Bull's 3rd day

Once again, testing started late because of unusually cold weather in the morning at the circuit de Catalunya. But, once David Coulthard headed out on track, the team enjoyed another good day with the RB2.

Best time: 1:16.885
Circuit length: 4.627km

Mark Smith, Technical Director "Analysis of the data we acquired yesterday pointed to the need for a minor change to the mechanical set-up. The result of this immediately proved positive and for the rest of the morning, we continued with normal set-up work. Then, from the early afternoon onwards, we began work on a tyre test programme. Generally, the last three days have shown signs of encouraging progress."

How much more progress can be made tomorrow, when Christian Klien parks himself in the cockpit, might well depend on the weather. As testing drew to a close this afternoon, menacing black clouds loomed over the circuit. Rain tyre testing anyone?
