Lewis Hamilton proved fastest once again during the second practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix. The Englishman progressed through the session without issues, proving consistently fast during his long run as well.

The most notable incident of the afternoon was courtesy of Toro Rosso and Jean-Eric Vergne. Having just left the pitlane, the Frenchman's car dropped lost the right rear wheel, fortunately without any harm. The wheel came to a safe rest while Vergne pulled off the track in the next corner, ending his session minutes before the chequered flag.
