A special delivery has arrived to Kimi Räikkönen’s Swiss home when the Finn received the SF71H Ferrari racing car with which he has scored his last F1 triumph in the 2018 Unites States Grand Prix.

Announcing in a post on Instagram, Räikkönen has communicated that he has been given a special gift by Ferrari after the Scuderia sent the Ferrari SF71H which helped the Finn earn his 21th Formula 1 victory.

After taking his special delivery over, the car has been rolled into his garage where the SF71H will be placed alongside a collection of motorcross bikes. The Finn has also revealed that he has been using these bikes to keep fit in these unprecedented times when no grands prix can take place.

Räikkönen made his debut in Formula 1 at Sauber in the 2001 Australian Grand Prix where he finished sixth, earning a championship point in his first ever race. Just a year later, he joined McLaren where he spent five years, securing his first grand prix victory in the 2003 Malaysian Grand Prix.

After joining Ferrari in 2007, the Finn was crowned champion in his first year with the Scuderia, scoring six victories during that year. After leaving the Italian outfit, he tested his outstanding skills in WRC and Nascar in 2010 and 2011 before returning to Formula 1 in 2012 with the Lotus team.

In 2014, he returned to the Maranello-based outfit, but his second spell at Ferrari was less successful, also due to fact that it coincided with the dominance of Mercedes. Nonetheless, Räikkönen earned a brilliant victory with his SF71H at Austin in the 2018, defeating Lewis Hamilton. Since the start of the 2019 season, Räikkönen has been competing with Alfa Romeo Racing with his current conctract expiring at the end of this year.
