Panasonic Toyota Racing's drive toward the front of the Formula 1 grid will be boosted by the arrival of an updated TF106 challenger as early as May. Mike Gascoyne, the team's Technical Director Chassis, revealed that a 'B-spec' version of the car could arrive in time for the Monaco Grand Prix on May 28.

The team introduced a similar update of the TF105 for the final two races of last year. Gascoyne said the earlier arrival of an updated car this year was a testament to the efficient working practices installed at the team through the Toyota Way.

"We are planning to introduce the TF106B for Monaca," said Mike Gascoyne. "We really are embodying the concept of kaizen, continuous improvement."
