Who will race today with a fresh power unit at Imola?

For the opening round of the European leg of the 2025 F1 season, only several drivers have elected to take fresh power unit components at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari.
For the 12th year running, the 2025 F1 cars are powered by V6 hybrid turbo power units with 1.6-litre engines. This season represents the last year the current engine configuration appears before being replaced by a new power unit formula in 2026.
Current F1 power units feature seven elements: the internal combustion engine (ICE), motor generator unit-heat (MGU-H), motor generator unit-kinetic (MGU-K), turbocharger, energy store (ES), control electronics (CE) and exhaust.
Over the course of the 2024 season, a driver may use no more than four ICEs, MGU-Hs, MGU-Ks and turbochargers, two energy stores and control electronics, and eight of each of the four elements that make up a set of exhaust systems (comprising primaries left-hand side, primaries right-hand side, secondary LHS and secondary RHS).
At the start of the weekend, Haas announced that they equipped Oliver Bearman’s car with a raft of fresh power unit components.
The British driver received a new internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-K, MGU-H and exhaust system.
At the same time, Alpine confirmed a fresh exhaust system, energy store and control electronics for Pierre Gasly while also revealing that Franco Colapinto will complete his first race with the French marque with a new control electronics.
However, the Enstone based outfit confirmed further new components for its drivers on Saturday: a new MGU-K for Gasly, and a fresh internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-K, MGU-H and exhaust system for Colapinto.
Following his heavy crash in qualifying, Red Bull elected to equip Yuki Tsunoda’s RB21 with a host of new components: internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H, MGU-K, energy store, control electronics and exhaust system, meaning that the Japanese driver has received an all-new power unit.
