Pirelli unveils unique British Grand Prix trophies inspired by Silverstone's history

Formula 1 heads to Silverstone this weekend for the British Grand Prix, and ahead of the iconic event, Pirelli has revealed the specially designed trophies that will be presented to the top three finishers, as well as a unique award dedicated to the circuit's volunteer marshals.
As Formula 1's Global Tyre Partner, Pirelli once again commissioned bespoke trophies to celebrate one of the sport's most historic races. This year's podium trophies have been created by renowned artist Paul Oz and draw inspiration from both Silverstone's aviation heritage and the cutting-edge technology that defines modern Formula 1.
The design begins with a digital model of a Formula 1 front wing before evolving into an organic sculpture representing Silverstone's transformation from a former Royal Air Force airfield into one of the world's most famous racing circuits.
The British identity of the event is reflected throughout the trophy. Structural aluminium elements form the Union Jack, paying tribute to the material's historic association with aviation, while the red and blue sections of the flag are crafted from carbon fibre, creating a visual link between Britain's engineering heritage and the advanced materials used in contemporary Formula 1 cars.
Pirelli says the combination of aluminium and carbon fibre creates a dialogue between the circuit's past and Formula 1's technological future, making the trophy both a celebration of British motorsport history and modern engineering innovation.
Alongside the podium trophies, Pirelli has also unveiled the Marshal Award, which will be presented to a representative of Silverstone's volunteer marshals before Sunday's drivers' parade.
The award was commissioned from Italian manufacturer Bartoccini Premiazioni in collaboration with designer Stefano Zuech. Like the podium trophies, it incorporates elements inspired by the Silverstone circuit, with the track layout forming the centrepiece of the design.
The circuit outline is surrounded by a series of stars, representing the hundreds of marshals whose dedication and professionalism help ensure the safety of drivers, teams and spectators throughout the race weekend.
The front of the award combines carbon fibre with stainless steel, while the reverse side features the Union Jack, maintaining the distinctly British identity that runs throughout this year's trophy collection.
