Testing begins in Jerez for Honda

The first day of the Honda Racing F1 Team’s three-day test at the Circuito de Jerez in Southern Spain began this morning with Anthony Davidson and James Rossiter on driving duty. The weather has been very hot and sunny all day with ambient temperatures of 32˚C and track temperatures reaching 44˚C.

Anthony and James spent the day focusing on tyre programmes to evaluate the various options for the forthcoming French Grand Prix in Magny-Cours, alongside aerodynamic evaluations.

Anthony completed 70 laps in chassis RA106-06, setting the third fastest time of the day – a 01:18.705 – with James completing 74 laps in chassis RA106-02.

Rubens Barrichello will join the test tomorrow taking over from James in chassis RA106-06.
