First outing in F1.07 for Vettel

By on

Just like most of the Formula One teams, the BMW Sauber F1 Team started testing at Valencia today. Sebastian Vettel and Nick Heidfeld both got behind the wheel of the new F1.07, which was the first time for Sebastian.

Sebastian Vettel had his first run in the F1.07 and used the initial laps to familiarise with the car. Because of the wet conditions in the morning he made several starts and did some systems work. When the track began to dry out in the afternoon, he worked on the set- up of the car. Nick started the day doing functionality checks. In the afternoon he had just begun working on the set-up when he was hampered by a small mechanical problem that made him lose some time.

What comes next: Tomorrow Robert will take over from Sebastian, while Nick will continue to drive. The weather forecast looks encouraging so that the two drivers should be able to carry out some set-up evaluations.
