With the British Grand Prix at Silverstone taking place this weekend, the Honda Racing F1 Team is delighted to provide a unique opportunity for Formula One fans to get closer to the action and meet the team’s star British driver Jenson Button.

On Sunday 15 July, the weekend after the Silverstone race, two of Formula One’s current drivers will be making an appearance at the Honda Racing F1 Team’s Charity Open Day at the team headquarters in Brackley, Northamptonshire. Jenson Button and Anthony Davidson will be amongst the team’s guests for the day, along with the legendary voice of Formula One and the Honda Racing F1 Team’s ambassador, commentator Murray Walker.

Murray will be interviewing the Honda drivers throughout the day, giving fans the opportunity to get closer to their heroes than at any Grand Prix weekend. Guests will also have the chance to compete against Jenson and Anthony, along with fellow Honda drivers Christian Klien, Mike Conway and James Rossiter, in the giant Scalextric and F1 Simulator challenges.

Supporting the team’s motor sport stars of today will be a famous name from the past, 1979 Formula One World Champion Jody Scheckter, along with David Brabham who competes for the Honda premium brand Acura’s new racing venture in the American Le Mans series. The Honda Racing F1 Team’s Sporting Director Gil de Ferran, winner of the 2003 Indianapolis 500 race, will also be in attendance.

Guests will also have the opportunity to take part in a unique pit stop challenge, guided by members of the team’s pit stop crew, and the chance to win a brand new Honda Jazz road car. For younger guests, the KidZone will have a Roary the Racing Car themed entertainment area with electric racing cars, face painting and competitions.
