According to the Spanish newspaper 'Marca', Hamilton Sr. is negotiating a pay-rise for his son at McLaren. It appears that there is a clause in the contract of the Championship leader, permitting the revisiting of his $300,000 per year retainer in the event that he is leading the World Championship by the mid-point of the season. Hamilton Sr., the manager of Lewis, would want an extra $3million from the Woking based team for the services of his son.
