Waving a red cloth has long been part of Spanish tradition in other sporting pursuits, but at Valencia there were rather too many red flag moments today, which is why the circuit officials granted a generous ten extra minutes track time, at the end of this final day of testing.

Despite the interruptions, both our drivers managed to do a lot of laps with Vettel completing the long run testing he was unable to finish yesterday. "These three days have been good from a reliability point of view, with around two thousand kilometres completed," said Chief Engineer, Laurent Mekies. "We have made progress with this reliability, especially in terms of the gearbox. We also increased our understanding of the control systems for the 2008 electronics and acquired useful data regarding car set-up."

The Toro Rosso tour of Spain continues next week, when Bourdais and Vettel running at the Circuit de Catalunya, near Barcelona from 1 to 3 February.
