According to the Spanish press, the Williams F1 Team is set to establish a permanent base for its test team near the Valencia circuit. The team would be in negotiations with the regional government and will give young Spanish drivers the opportunity to test for the team as part of the agreement.

By moving the test team to Spain, Williams plans to save money and time as most of the F1 tests take place in Spain. From Valencia, the track at Jerez and Barcelona are also easy reachable, just like the new tracks that are under construction at Seville and in the southern of Spain. By moving to Valencia, the test team of Williams would be just a ferry ride away from Menorca, where there is a possibility of straightline testing.
