After statements from four of the F1 manufacturers, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Honda and Toyota, Paul Stoddart revealed his own thoughts on the Mosley case. The former Minardi F1 Team owner declared to BBC Radio that he believes Mosley should resign as FIA President.

Stoddart said: "He has to go, he absolutely has to go. Anyone in public office cannot survive a scandal like this. He is dragging the FIA down into the gutter.

"He is the head of the FIA. You cannot have someone in his position in which his role is to meet leaders all over the world."
