The Scuderia Ferrari driver has spoken with 'autosport' about what has just happened at the German GP, to which Raikkonen admited that his team has fallen slightly behind McLaren and hope to progress back to where they should be as soon as possible.

The Finn commented that McLaren were much quicker this weekend and last, and that hopefully his team would be able to resolve their problems and get back to where they should be performance wise.

After finishing in sixth place, three positions behind team-mate Felipe Massa, and collecting three points, Raikkonen further added, "It's not exactly what we were hoping for. It was pretty difficult all the way through. Then in the end the car was a bit better but it was very difficult for the whole weekend. We need to look and find an improvement."

Kimi Raikkonen now stands in third place, seven points behind drivers championship leader Lewis Hamilton who has 58 points, and second placed Felipe Massa who has 54 points.
