Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

If Ocon doesn't get a hard look by RBR, I'd be very surprised.

I rate him rather highly.

I think he would definitely get a hard look, but probably only in Christian Horner's private study at home. There's no way Max would agree to be partnered by Esteban, no way. He's beaten him before and most likely would beat him again. I truly believe Esteban is that good.

Why Max needs to agree?? Does he has that power to decide his teammate?

I'd be disappointed if McLaren drop VAN - I think he's been a very reliable driver and no doubt the car has not flattered him. It'd be short-sighted of McLaren to drop him.

Max is nbr 1 in Red Bull, you've got to keep him happy and he won't be happy with Ocon.

Seems to overlook the more logical / straight forward option of Ocon going to Williams? Unless Toto really doesn't fancy that, but surely not much worse a place to put him than Mclaren at this stage...

True, for some reason he seems to think Kubica would be the replacement for Stroll. Maybe Kubica already has an agreement in place to get a seat, should the opportunity arise.

Paddy Lowe has already started to make changes at Williams, the effects will not be noticeable until next year. I wouldn’t be surprised if Williams bounces back before McLaren does.

You fail to mention that in the preceding years VES beat OCO

But it does not matter, I also rate Ocon quite highly. And honestly if you put Gasly, Leclerc, Ocon and Verstappen in the same car I would not know who would win. Considering that they know each other for a long time I don’t think it would be a problem to pair any of them.

As for the story that Ves has blocked Sainz at RB. I guess you have to consider the source.

Hint: it is the same source who in 2017 alleged that Verstappen had secretly engaged in a pre-contract with Ferrari, and claimed the same for Ricciardo a couple months back.

To be very silly... how about Marc Marquez for a STR seat? already under contract with both RedBull and Honda, still in his very early 20-ies and a six time world champion...

The RB-Honda motorcycle connections are pretty strong. They're together in rallycross as well, racing a Civic hatchback. If a two-wheeler could make the transition and succeed, that would be one hell of an untouchable triple crown. I doubt it though. These days specialization is king. Sort of what makes amateur racing more interesting. You can still find engineers racing their own cars there.
