I have it on good authority the front brake ducts provide flow to the rearwing through a complicated series of snorkels, all operated by the driver's right elbow.
:D

Sorry, couldn't resist.

MASSIVE radiator intakes, its interesting to see the different amounts of cooling all the cosworth teams are using, this has to be the most extreme.

Spyker meets Midland meets Red Bull meets, um, convoluted looking design.

When are they going to finish sanding?

Also, I am just glad that Senna will be on the grid this year.

What does the writing on the nosecone, turning vanes, and airbox cover say?

I have to say that I like the livery and overall design, it appears to be more focused than the Lotus.

The car looks well developed compared to the Lotus. I just hope the reliability is better than Virgin's.

The livery is quite hideous, mostly due to the dominant colour.

Shouldn't this thread be called "Hispania Racing" ?

Yup, "HRT 'Car Name".

No need to include Dallara and Cosworth IMO.

The car looks a bit short to me, maybe just the angle of photos.Any details about wheelbase and other things?

The designer of that must have had this on his office wall:

Not an ugly duckling, but i see many different elements in its design. Front wing is like a simplified McLaren one, the side pods are very Force India VJM/02. The air box is very like the Red Bull RB5/Ferarri F60. They have used a little plagerism to get their final design, whitch is arguably pritter than the Lotus T127.

Once they get some milage under their belt, they will become a decent package, albeit posibly 2-4 seconds off the pace, as is traditional with a new teams first car.

The thing is its a Dallara, so its gonna be a pretty good package out of the box. Just a pitty they dont have some test miles behind them. Whitch makes me belive that both drivers will probably do arround 40 laps in FP1 and FP2 at Bahrain, and arround 20 laps in FP3, be out most of Quali, and when te race starts, they start a 305km+ 49 lap long test. Id expect, if they have good relyability out of the box, for both drivers to put 700km each on the clock. Whitch is more than Virgins total in Pre Season testing when you put Senna & Chandhok together.

Rumor has it that Chandhok has brought $15m to the coffers, Senna with $5m and Lopez will bring the remainder of what he has left from USF1, whitch is arround $6.5m. Id say that money will see them fine for now, with more coming eventually.
