Not much skill exists relatively amongst the drivers. They all can do the same things on track given enough simulator time.
Only the really bad drivers show a skill deficit.
As things stand these days its just down to how much practice and learning nuances with setup and lines and working through that with the team. If a driver falls short they always "look into it to understand why" after each session. The sport is extremely scientific and procedural where "skill" need only be a prerequisite to enter the sport. But all 20 drivers have it.
So I do not consider any track or corner needing relative skill over another driver to make a difference. A driver may need less laps to get the optimum lap time in qualy but 1 out of 20 times all of them can acheive the same exact lap time all things being equal.
Probably that's why F1 teams are idiots to chase after some drivers while not interested in others, because it's purely for sponsorship or marketing revenue. Probably that's why Ferrari were wrong to give their #1 status to Schumacher and not Barrichello/Massa etc. Probably why Mercedes were stupid to give their #1 status to Hamilton and not Bottas.
Yeah, right.
Ok then show me a corner where you see a clear different in how much better one team mate can drive it comparer to the other.
Drivers do perform better or worse for many reasons, but it's not becuase of the corners. There's a million other reasons for gaps.
For Sure!!

Pretty sure the corners are exactly the parts that seperate the difference in drivers. Rather than anything else.

Plenty of telemetry around to show it too.

It's getting a little cringe now about Senna, especially as hardly any of the current drivers would even have watched him race.

I vividly remember Imola in 1994, but I was only 16 years old then. The only current driver even close would be Fernando.

It's good to remember him, obviously, but geezuz, it's been 30 years of this spectacle and it's getting worse.

It is somewhat inevitable with all the documentaring and raise to popularity of the sport in recent years.

With Imola being a recent return to f1 further makes this a more mythical event.

Really, this whole discussion is a bit silly and philosophical rather than anything terribly constructive in my opinion. Just different ways of looking at things rather than any specific right/wrong perspective.

Shame Max couldn't be bothered to wear the shirt like every other driver there.

Not just Senna, but I think it's also out of respect for Seb. He asks you to join him in a tribute, you agree.

What kind of Q lap time are we expecting? In 2022 Q2 was driven without DRS and we had 1:18.8, while the race saw a 1:18.446 from Max.

I think mid-high 1:15 is on the table, low 1:16 almost guaranteed.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Bottas too... Also Max is the only one wearing pin button for Roland.

Mag and Oscar are not even there.
